Is it getting hot in here or is it just me?
To kinda sorta submit an answer to your question... I'm going to have to go out on a limb here and say that it is probably an attempt to not hurt the guy's feelings and for whatever reason not being comfortable enough to have those open lines of communication. I agree with you that it's definitely very healthy to be able to talk about likes and dislikes etc... but not everyone is comfortable with doing so (probably a sign that you shouldn't be that intimate with one another if you can't talk about such things). I personally think people are too quick to hop in the sack nowadays... but I guess that's because I'm old.
