Ans: Actually no, you apparently misread my statement. I said: "MORE LIKELY it 'COULD' be a sly or treacherous person, esp. one who exploits a position of trust in order to betray it."
I deliberately used the terms "MORE LIKELY 'COULD' as my guess is only slightly better than yours. You are the only one insisting on a snake, not me OR the KJV Bible. If I call someone a serpent [esp. using old english] would you automatically think I'm saying they ARE a >LITERAL< snake or dinosaur?

When they are threatened, the two chemicals are squirted through two tubes, where they are mixed along with small amounts of catalytic enzymes and undergo a violent "exothermic" chemical reaction. The
BOILING, foul-smelling liquid partially becomes a gas and is expelled with a loud popping sound.
If over 500 non interbreading beetles do it, don't you think some species of extinct dinosaur could have done the same thing?

I've read various attacks on the bible and even much of the pitiable "1001 errors in the KJ Bible." (What a very sad author.)
If you have any ACTUAL questions (not just attacks) regarding the KJV Bible; quote chapter and verse & I will get you an answer. When you make some general statement without references you might as well be quoting from the dictionary.
Please don't make the common mistake of using old testament edicts or commands to the Jewish people in order to make a point. The old testament was under the law, and the law was given to show them how impossible it is for people to live Godly lives without a savior.

Ans: Approximately 2500 prophecies appear in the pages of the Bible, about 2000 of which already have been fulfilled to the letter—no errors.
The Old Testament, was written over a 1,000 year period, by many different authors without contradictions, contains over 300 references to the coming Messiah. Many of them were beyond human control yet all of these were fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
By using the modern science of probability in reference to just EIGHT of these prophecies; the chance that any man might have lived to fulfill all eight prophecies is one in one hundred trillion!
If you take 100 trillion silver dollars and lay them on the face of Texas, they would be two feet deep. Now, mix well and have somebody randomly pick out a single marked coin on the first try. It's almost as astronomically impossible as evolution. That's just for EIGHT accurately fulfilled prophesies. To fulfill 2000 of them boggles the mind.
Is that reason enough to trust its reports regarding things that we cannot test.
