Well think of it this way.. Death is like before you were born. How horrifying is the thought of going back to that. Besides we simple mortals know nothing of the afterlife. Perhaps reincarnation isn't a falsarium either, we just don't know. That's were faith plays a part, you hope for what you want things to be in the end, a sort of comfort that death isn't the final end.
