I think its just something that we are stuck with and there are many things that will reference to the threes so its been passed down by our family for a long time now.
Wiccan/Pagan: The trinity of the Goddess - Maiden, Mother and Crone. Also the three fold law (whatever you send out comes back to you times three). I have no idea why, but at least we know the # isnt going to change right? :D
