Two thoughts occurred to me:

1. Some Disney executive enthusiastically green-lit this thing.
2. Every time Disney knocks out a cute animal movie, thousands of people rush out to get real live versions of those same cute animals... Which mostly end up being neglected/abused/killed.

I know what you mean... I have a buddy that owns and runs an aquarium store...
He told me his salt water aquariums and clown fish sells went up 4 fold after the
"Finding Nemo" movie... And I can imagine the Dalmatian sells after the "A 101 Dalmatians" movie...
I like dogs, but not small dogs and especially not Chihuahuas... I hate those little ankle sharks...
