I have an older brother in the military, and I was really touched by the way Obama mentioned our soldiers overseas in his inauguration speech today. He said, “As we consider the road that unfolds before us, we remember with humble gratitude those brave Americans who, at this very hour, patrol far-off deserts and distant mountains. We honor them not only because they are guardians of our liberty, but because they embody the spirit of service; a willingness to find meaning in something greater than themselves.” I couldn’t agree more. I’ve been trying to learn more about Obama’s personal life and found the most informative DVD on the market. It’s called Barack Obama: The Man and His Journey (VE), and it explores the rigors of his life, the campaign, and the culmination of it all—the final, powerful election speech. It officially came out today, and I really do recommend it for those who want a well rounded look at this most historic election.
