You've got that right Stubblecat! I am 35 and I use my cell only when I have to call someone while I'm away from home and on the rare occasion that I think to call my sister, whose number is long distance on my landline, when I'm getting unlimited minutes on the weekends. As for texting? Forget about it! I think I may have sent a grand total of 3 text messages in the past 5 years that I have owned a cell phone!

37 here. I still haven't learned how to set up my voice mail even though I get a ton of reminders on the thing to do it. Don't know if I have a general aversion to gadgetry or not, or if I do if that's a sign of my age. I've also found I'm quite a late adopter to technology trends.

It's so funny that I'm dead-on here. I've been at my airport for almost 10 years, and when I started I was amongst the 'younger crowd', in my mid-20s. The internet was still kind of new and cell phones were still kind of large (and didn't do anything other than make phone calls) and file-sharing was essentially non-existant.

Now the current bunch of 20-somethings that work there have all grown up completely connected in every way. And they have never known a world where your television only had about 10 channels on it.

^^ True.. Technology is only a good thing, as long as people don't depend on it, and even better. If they choose to be completely without it at times.

30 here, and i have no qualms or problems with technology on this end at all. I just have issues with unecessary gadgets that are more of a public nuisence, because all too many people don't seem to have the common sense or respect to either avoid missusing it, or simply using it in wrong places and occations... A busload of kids with constant yammering and beeping of phones can get to you after a couple of miles. Not to mention sitting outside at some place over a coffee, and somones phone starts to ring 5 times during the discussion and the person absolutely must answer or they get uneasy... So technology yes, but some technology are apparently only meant for a small number of responsible people who uses it for a good reason, while the rest uses it all the time at any place for no reason.

Spot on Stubbs, 39 here! I just use mine to let someone know I'm on my way home, or find out if they need something when I'm in a store, plus to stay in touch if they need me for something important. If I want to talk for awhile I use a landline phone, plus it sounds better IMO. Remember, we were the ones who paved they way with the Atari 2600's, and the TRS 80 computers, along with the Apple IIc's and the Commodore 64's, all before these "kids" were even born. So I feel we actually have a "leg up" experience wise over the younger crowd.

Not only that, but the censorship with the games that came out with C-64 like Ugh-lympics were virtually non-existent. And nobody made claims to violent behaviour or torturing of animals due to the games in those days. Something else failed along the way... What wouldn't i give to play games with the content of the old computers

I'd love to play against some kids today on my favorite old school arcade games. I get tired of these 9 button monstrosities they got now. And I thought the games I played sucked a lot of quarters out of me back in the day.

I'm in the wrong money making racket if you ask me.

Well I guess I'm the exception that' proves your rule Stubbs.

I have a cell phone and it's my primary number, I don't have a land line.

I don't text with the thing, I don't use the camera and I don't have one that plays music. It's a phone. If I don't want to answer it, I don't that's what voice mail is for.

I have to use that "phonemasturbator" line I have to admit I am a text messaging junkie. I wish I wouldn't text so much but I just can't help it
