I realized a little while ago that I can't buy every single BluRay catalog, especially if they just port over the old version. It doesn't make sense anymore. That being said, if I ever pick up a rental account somewhere, I will be seeing these, for certain.

Yeah, the extra bit of her getting her other arm cut off followed the shot with her in the trunk of the car, being pumped for info from The Bride. The Bride says that she wants info and if she doesn't get it she'll start cutting off body parts.
Sophie then speaks French, with the "Stupid Blonde" line. *WHACK* The other arm comes off. I guess Tarantino sensed that it would have to be cut for the U.S. release, because when Sophie rolls down the hill towards the hospital in the Japanese version she still has the other arm.

I'm almost totally in agreement with you here. There are some films (like the Bond and Star Wars films) that I've owned on video, laserdisc and multiple DVD versions already. Upgrading my entire movie collection once again at this point in my life is just not gonna happen. That being said, I'm a Tarantino fan, and I loved Kill Bill. The films that I'm getting on BD now are the films I eventually want my daughters to watch and appreciate. Kill Bill, while being quite violent, has a good heart and at the end says quite a bit about the sacrifice of Motherhood. Will I allow my girls (aged 3 and 5) to see it any time soon? No. For now, they can soak up Sleeping Beauty, Cars, Ratatouille, Wall-E, and soon enough the Harry Potter saga.
