Default Prince Caspian: The Chronicles of Narnia

I had a chance to see this at the theatre when it was out. We took our kids and it ended up being a nightmare and I missed most of the films content but I still enjoyed it.

Upon a second viewing on BD I can say that I absolutely loved this film. I like it more than the first and I love the first one too. This movie is more adult oriented and has some incredible battle scenes that are expertly choreographed. It is a more mature film than the first.

One thing that I loved is tha fact that these kids had already lived a full life in Narnia before returning to the real world. They were kings and queens and protectors of Narnia. Upon going back they enter Narnia as kids but they still retained all of their battle traing and skills from their adult life. Knowing this adds a lot to the film. There is much content at the beginning that adds enjoyment to the film when you understant this.

5/5

I blind-bought the Blu-Ray. I really enjoyed the first one, and although the reviews weren't quite as nice, I'm guessing this'll be completely satisfactory as well.

I think audiences shied away because it was released around too many huge movies. The Dark Knight and Iron Man sort of ruled Spring and Summer.

I'm looking forward to watching this movie too. We own the Extend edition of the previous Narnia movie and really love that one, so we're anxious about this one, although we missed it when it was out in the theatres. We did just order the special 3-disc version from Amazon since it has some deleted scenes and the whatnot included, so here's hoping it doesn't take too long to show up!

Y'know...I really liked the first film. The second is better, but I really love the Christian symbolism in the first film. That makes it for me.

I really enjoyed Prince Caspian. Definitely harder-edged than the first film. And the characters get to show some real growth as well.
