The X-Files: Blu-ray 2-Pack

I am extremely disappointed with Fox right. I was excited to get this BD 2pack because of the attractive price and for the fact that I really wanted the first movie in HD. My wife and I watched this movie on DVD about 4 months ago and it has one of the worst transfers I have ever seen on DVD. It was terrible. So, I was happy to get this BD.

Well, the transfer sucks here too. Don't get me wrong, it is FAR better than the DVD but it is not up to HD standards. The colors are terribly washed out and not vibrant at all. It is devoid of almost anything that would make this a good transfer. It has grain in areas where there is not supposed to be and just disappointing all around. I still love the movie but it deserves better than this. Shame on you FOX.

The special features had a making of featurette and a gag reel. The gag reel had HD video that was far superior to the movie itself....

I have not put in the second movie yet. While I like the second movie I had issues with its content. I still look forward to watching it as I am a huge X-Files fan.

Wow...seems to me there were more features on the DVD. I could be wrong. Sucks to hear about the transfer. I have this set, too...but I won't be watching until I catch up on my season viewing. I think I lapsed in Season 3.
