And my book thread has quickly devolved into a theological debate...

...Which is fine and dandy as a topic, but perhaps we can move it into a different thread where it can be debated in a nice spirited fashion.

Dragging this back on topic:

Today's reading selections:

Murder on the Orient Express -- Agatha Christie
Doctor Who: Colony in Space -- Malcolm Hulke

I think that's it right now, usually there's three ...

I am currently reading 'Dare to Discipline' by Dr. James Dobson. He is basically giving you tips on how to effective raise your child with proper discipline. It's a good book so far.

I'm halfway through A Horse And His Boy, book three of The Chronicles Of Narnia. After the first two books, it looked like this one might be dull as dishwater and it took several attempts to get through the first 20 pages.
Once I did, I've been finding that this book sort of serves as a bridge to the next set of stories. Nothing particularly deep, but necessary exposition.

Cool Law Book

I don't know where you guys find the time to read all these fun books...
Most of the reading I do is spent reading boring, dry books on academic subjects...
I just can't seem to find time for literature... I'm presently reading a law book called
"Principles for Today's Commercial Environment" by: A bunch of people... The reason I
picked up this book was because it said "easy-to-understand and fascinating to read"...
Well they lie, maybe its easy and fascinating for some people out there, but not me...
It takes me forever to read and comprehend and then absorb this crap in my tiny brain...
And I sure don't find it fascinating maybe mildly interesting at times, but certainly not fascinating...
I could give you a long list of the books I've read, but I don't want to bore you...

I recently started reading a book by Isaac Asimov about famous writers in the 20th century, and it is a fascinating read so far. Once I double check what the exact book title was, I will post it in here.

C'mon... Isaac Asimov, and you can't name the title? Get back to us and hurry!

Reading Asimov's 2001: A Space Odyssey was a real eye-opener to me. It was one thing to grow up with the Kubrick film version, but after reading the novel itself my mind was blown totally.

I love reading books by Agatha Christie, but I am afraid I haven't read one in a long time. What is the Murder on the Orient Express about. Stubblecat, please don't tell the ending :-)
