My 'favorite' authors change as my tastes do - and as I discover new authors, of course!

Recently, I discovered Harlan Coben. He was something of a surprise because although I'd seen his name on the shelves for years, I assumed wrongly that he wrote badly! Just his name conjured up trashy novels! But after reading one of his thrillers (I think it was Tell No One) I was hooked. I prefer his one-off thrillers to of his books featuring Myron Bolitar the sports agent, but his Myron books are still a very good read.

I also just discovered Jodi Piccoult and I'm hooked on her, too! The first book I read of hers was '19 Minutes' about a school shooting - so well written and thought provoking. Would make an excellent movie.

My favorite author is Stephen King and probably won't ever change. My next favorite would be David Moody. He does the Autumn series, a series of zombie books that are the absolute best zombie books ever!

My favorite author is Tim LaHaye. He wrote the Left Behind series. The fictional series is based on the end of times according to the Bible and is a "maybe it will happen like this" scenario of events became with the rapture of the Christians and ending with the return of Christ to the earth. Whether you believe in the Bible and what it has to say or not, it is interesting the way he has taken what the Bible has to say and brought it to life in this fiction series.

I read everything Terry Brooks writes. His stuff is fantastic. If you have not read the Word and Void series, I highly recommend it. The first book is Running with the Demon. Great stuff.
