![]() Ouch !!! He was only 37 years old, that kinda hurts my feeling of indestructibility... He may have died young and left a nice corpse, but I would just as soon die and leave a very old, ugly, raggedy corpse myself... I'm really sad to hear that he died so young... ![]()

Ah damn... I hate to hear about these kind of things. Alot of people spoil their gifts of life with drug abuse and alcohol, and they just seem to outlive everyone. And then you have these people who falls ill and dies as a result way before their time is up... I always loved the marvel comics, it's something we all grew up with that helped stimulate our imaginations and provided us with boy-hood fantasies. And i have always held talented people in high regard who keeps things of worth alive and kicking for future generations.

I can't say that I was a fan of his art, per se. I was an active comic buyer around the time of the Image startup, when every artist seemed to have the exact same style.
That being said, Michael Turner was a respected artist and deserved all the success he had in life. It's always sad when young talent burns twice as bright twice as fast.

Younger than me and so very talented. That is so sad to hear. I'm not a huge comic book fan but have the greatest respect for some of the artists involved. The work has deteriorated as a genre for the past twenty years, in my opinion, but he showed the detail and flair of an earlier time.
