My favorite Dr. Seuss book is On Beyond Zebra. My nephews love it. I read it to them almost every weekend. As the boy says in the book, "Most people stop at Z but not me. I think it encourages kids to stretch their imagination beyond what everyone else says is normal.

I'll second The Sneetches. There's a nice hardcover Seuss collection that came out a few years ago with 13 of his best stories, as well as a bunch of archive material.
I read The Sneetches to my kids to teach them to be nice to all the kids in their school. I also throw some Yertle The Turtle at them to teach them about the corruption of power. My poor, poor warped children...

It is, it's a great book! I am going to assume that you signed up to the Scholastic program, the two books a month by mail? If so, they have books by all different authors, and yes the styles of Eastman and Seuss can appear similar sometimes.
