Default Dr. Seuss book

I know we're all adults here but did you have a favorite Dr. Seuss book? I bought a bunch for my 4 year old and my favorite one is the ABC's one and the Green Eggs and Ham one

Are you My Mother? is actually by P.D. Eastman, not Dr Seuss, but a lot of people seem to think that. I love it too.

Hop on Pop is great for the tiny ones, but beyond that we like the Cat in the Hat Comes Back.

Our favorite Dr. Seuss books are The Sneetches (which also has the story about the pants with no body inside them), Horton Hears a Hoo (the kids haven't seen the movie, nor have I), and McElligot's pool.

I don't have kids, but as a child I loved The Birthday Book. My mom read it to me upon waking on my birthday every year, she still calls me to read it to me.

And I loved the Zaks in Tracks one, about the stubborn zaks who won't move from their tracks.

My favorite Dr. Seuss book is On Beyond Zebra. My nephews love it. I read it to them almost every weekend. As the boy says in the book, "Most people stop at Z but not me. I think it encourages kids to stretch their imagination beyond what everyone else says is normal.

I'll second The Sneetches. There's a nice hardcover Seuss collection that came out a few years ago with 13 of his best stories, as well as a bunch of archive material.

I read The Sneetches to my kids to teach them to be nice to all the kids in their school. I also throw some Yertle The Turtle at them to teach them about the corruption of power.

My poor, poor warped children...

It is, it's a great book! I am going to assume that you signed up to the Scholastic program, the two books a month by mail? If so, they have books by all different authors, and yes the styles of Eastman and Seuss can appear similar sometimes.
