It was the same with John Kennedy Toole who wrote "A confederacy of dunces", he also commited suicide in -69 after a series of dramatic events in his life while trying to get his work published. The book ended up not being published until 11 years after his passing. He was postoumesly awarded with the pulitzer prize for fiction.
The book itself is a brilliant comedy with a dash of drama, i highly recommend it. 'Infinite jest' By wallace seems like an interesting piece, i think i'll be looking into that. Last edited by Tyrfingr; 09-16-2008 at 08:43 PM. |

a confederacy of dunces is a highly overlooked novel - it's also one of my favorites if you couldn't tell from my icon ![]() |
