Default Do you still go to the cinema?

I think the latest years have been a disaster when it comes to the "normal cinema" if we can call it like this. I remember when I was young there wouldn't be too many movies on the TV and we'd all go to the theaters a lot. Now I have to confess that I just don't go out that often. I have good television at home and there are always some DVDs to buy or rent so that I don't have to go out.

I am sure many people feel the same way. If we talked about me, I can surely say that I don't quite go to the cinema as I used to. What about you?

My husband he loves Movies so I joined this site where I got to go to the Movies (mystery Shopping) so we got to go watch several movies for free Plus we got a free large drink and a med popcorn so that was a pretty good deal, well we done this last year before my husband got so sick but I have to say this year we have only been maybe 2 times so we just normally go rent movies and we do this alot since my husband is a movie freak.
Plus it is MUCH cheaper to rent them esp if you have three kids like I do.

During my college days, I usually went to cinema to watch some movies. Now, I'm getting old and getting wiser, I will just wait for it, until it hits the video store near me. Why should I pay cinema, when I can watch them at the comfort of my home. I can save lots of money this way.

Once in a great while I will go to the theater, but it's definitely a rare exception. It is just so convenient to wait for the DVD - especially if it is a particularly long movie. I like to be able to pause it, have my own little 'intermission breaks' at my convenience without the worry of missing anything....

That being said, it makes the rare times that I do go out to the cinemas a nice little day out. I seem to normally do this for comedy movies, because I tend to think being in an audience full of laughing people can make a movie even more enjoyable.

What's the last movie any of you have gone to the cinema to watch? I think the last one for me was Ratatouille.. i love that movie...
