I haven't watched it yet. The leading actor is Will Smith (the guy from Men in Black). The story is about being the last man on earth. How he manage to survive. I think that it’s very promising. It will hit the theaters on January.

I really really really liked this movie. Very interesting concept. I recommend that you do watch it when you get the chance.

I had read somewhere that while Will Smith's acting performance was nothing short of stellar, the special effects were really 'less than'... did you find this to be the case at all?

Hmmm. They never really bothered me. Although the people / freaks did look very CGI if that's what they meant by "less than" special effects.
