Well at least with this movie you shouldn't have to worry about them upsetting you in the auditorium. I haven't seen it yet, as I find it hard getting to theatres, but I am waiting for it to come out on DVD. I hope that it at least stays remotely true to the real story of Sweeny Todd, because it is probably the most gruesome of all boogy man tales! I can't wait.

You could always try for a matinee show. That's what I did for this. It was still 8 bucks, which royally pissed me off, but I dealt. I went with a friend and there were only maybe 5 other people in the theatre.
The movie was enjoyable. I wouldn't say it was a favorite. The music was interesting. I liked how physically dark everything was. It goes with the mood of the movie. There is so much grey and black and a complete lack of color, like the lack of happiness in Sweeny Todd's life. The costume as well were phenomenal. I think I was more into the art aspects of the movie than the actual plot. The acting is well done. I really don't follow Depp's work. The last movie I loved him in was Edward Scissorhands. But I do love what he does when he works with Tim Burton. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, then I do suggest waiting for this on DVD. I mean the theatre setting might be nice and all but I don't think it's necessary for a film like this. |

This kind of movie has just zero appeal to me. I actually do like Johnny Depp (most of the time) and can kiiiiiind of understand why some people like this style of movie, but for me, you couldn't pay me $10 to watch it.
Just my bit of butting in... sorry. ![]() |

I haven’t watched it yet, but I think that it will be worth watching it, since the leading actor is Johnny Depp. I think that Johnny Depp’s performance is superb. I heard that the director once walk out because of Johnny excellent performance. When he was asked by reporters, he said that he couldn’t stand how Johnny Depp has shaved the face of the person.

Well I've been watching the trailers, and the behind the scenes films about this movie. The one was a 30 minutes documentary about the making, costumes, casting and so on.
The movie looks awesome, absolutely wonderful. Certainly there seems to be a lot of blood, but then that's what the show was like. |

This is the first musical movie that I have known that is scary. Maybe, this is one of the factors that help Johnny Depp won a Golden Globe. Although we all know that he is a good actor, but we can’t deny this fact. Don’t you think so? |
