Default Movie House or DVD Player

So which do you prefer, watching a movie inside a theater or watching it inside the comforts of your own house using the DVD player?

For me, I prefer watching it inside my home. I could rewind to the part where I didn't understand and pause the movie when I want to go to the toilet. But the problem with watching it at home is that my friends would ruin the thrill of watching it because they already told me something about the movie.

I agree with you. I also prefer watching a movie inside my own home.. or any other home At home i can pause it, rewind it, i can answer my phone i could go to sleep and see the rest of it the next day.. i can do whatever i want!

The thing with friends is different for me.. i have nothing against spoilers :D
I don't even mind knowing the end of the movie, there is always something more that the friend didn't say.. so i don't mind knowing parts of the movie.

If the movie is a new release and it's very nice like I have heard rave reviews, expect to catch me at the cinema. But for relaxation and leisure, I'd rather watch from home. It's more comfy to be watching from home than anywhere else.

I would much rather watch a movie at the theater... Watching a movie at home is ok for all the many reasons listed above... But in order to get the dripping wet total emersion effect that only a nice theater with a big sound sytem can give you... That is where you have to go, watching a movie like "Top Gun" with the jets doing fly bys and stuff would be pretty lame to watch at home... Now excuse me I got to go, my date is waiting on me...

It depends. For movies with really good effects or action films, I would watch them in the movie theatre. For everything else, it's either the DVD or waiting for them to appear on TV. I wouldn't spend money to watch something on the big screen if it's just all dialogue.

For me, it depends which kind of movie I am watching. I have a nice TV so I have no issues watching things at home, but sometimes I still like to go out.

Maybe "Stealth" or "Flyboys" are the latest movies with jets doing fly bys, I guess Top Gun is a vintage movie but its still good. Well, you are correct that being inside the movie house will really immerse you into viewing pleasure but there are also many reasons why I don't like movie houses. When inside a movie house, you are limited on your actions like laughing or shouting aloud. And some movie houses don't allow food. Then the thing that I don't like most is the loud sound because my left ear has a problem already, it hurts when I hear loud sounds.

This is why I prefer watching it inside my home because I could control the volume, I could laugh and shout all I want, and I could eat whatever I wanted to eat!

I would prefer watching it at home because I can save more money if I will just rent it. I don’t like to spend more money on movie houses just to see them in the big screen. What is the difference anyway?

As long as I can see then I will be content.
