Default What still makes you go to the cinema?

we know the technology is now giving us the chance to watch movies at home. With the family and friends. They do cost less than a night in the town and this is the reason many chose to not go to the cinema. Still getting out of the house and meeting people might make others not give up the cinemas still.

What makes you go to the cinema? What's the reason getting you out of your home and seeing movies with tens of other people?

Not much.

It's a very rare occasion these days that I'll go to the movies... I have to really want to see a movie - so baddly that I can't wait those extra months for it to come out on DVD... but that is a rare event.

I usually go because I enjoy movies much better in the theatres. At our local cinema it only costs about 5 to 10 dollars for a movie ticket compared to the 20 or 30 dollars that a dvd costs. Also, I love SilverCitys popcorn!

I almost always take a first time date to dinner and a movie our first time out... I think most girls prefer a public place for the first date... You know so they can like assess you in the safety of a pubic place to see if they think your a rapist murderer or some other kind of crazy ass fool...

I like going for the movie theatre experience. I just think some movies are better seen on the big screen especially if they have great effects in them. Like Beowulf 3D, for instance. I don't think I would've wanted to watch that in DVD.

The only way that we go to the movies these days is if hubby and I are going out on a special date just the two of us. Which that NEVER happens.

I haven't been to the cinnema for a long time. Still the cinema is a nice chilling out place, it's a different type of vibe than being at home and the movie experience can be totally different with big 3-D sound and actors almost jumping off the screen at you.

For me the cinema was about the big screen. I know a lot of people have big screens at home now but not the size of the cinema. It is the only time and place that I become totally taken by a film-at home there are too many distractions.

I only go to cinemas if the movie is really appealing to me that I couldn't wait for it to be shown on DVD. But most movies now are transferred into DVD's after 2 or 3 months after it was shown in the cinemas. I might go to the movies again when Dark Knight will be shown on theaters, its been 4 months already since my last visit to the cinemas.

Simple, an amazing movie made in digital. I am still a geek so if I can sit and watch a movie trying to see how it all came together it keeps my mind busy longer and entertains me at the same time on many levels.
