Default Ticket Prices?

We pay $9.80 for an evening ticket, and $6 for a matinee (before 6pm I think). Its outrageous which is why I don't go often. we have a second rate theater that shows movies between the regular theater showings and the DVD release for $6.50 any time though.

I think this is about what we have to pay if we go to the movies which I think is WAY to high so we almost always wait for the movies to come out on DVD before we buy or most if the time rent it.

I find the price reasonable, compared to the twenty or thirty dollars I would pay for a DVD that I would probably only watch once. Ticket prices in my area are free for kids that are six and under, 6 dollars for general audiences.

In my area kids tickets are $9.50 and adults are $10 or $11 I think. Although on Tuesdays adults pay kids prices (big woop)

Wow, I would trade your prices! The cheapest I found locally was around $12, and the average is $15. I was appalled when I first moved here and saw it.

Around here the ticket prices are around 2-3$. Very cheap in comparison to yours.. hmm
Even so, with the cheap prices people still won't go. They do not really take care of cinemas around here and it's really a pain in the rear to go there :D I think people prefer to stay indoors and watch movies ..

I hate how expensive movies are. I mean $10 doesnt seem like much but it adds up fast.

I remember that a couple of years ago a full priced evening ticket was like 8 bucks and a matinee was 5, maybe 6. Now, it's 10, or 10.50 for a regular ticket and 8.50 for a matinee, which varies based on the theatre. Some it's any show before 6pm during the week, and any show before 4 pm on the weekend.

It just stinks that there are some movies out that I would love to see, but I'm on such a tight budget that I can't go drop 20 to 30 bucks on entertainment to go see them.

I think at $2-3 its not wonder they don't take care of them-they can't afford to! Here we pay like $10 too for an evening show, and snacks of course are pretty expensive.

If we get two adult tickets after evening hours its about 20 bucks, add food & drink at least another 10 bucks. If we didnt have to work so much we could catch afternoon flicks, when its less crowded and cheaper, its so sad to be an adult and not get things cheap anymore.

We have 2 theatres here in Thunder Bay,

The Cumberland Cinema plays the films that just left the big AWESOME theatre.

Regular Night: $4.00 *Gasp*
Tuesdays: $2.50

At the Famous Players we have here;
Regular Night: $7.50
Tuesdays: $4.50

Drinks and munches are way over priced, it's amazing how quickly 30 buck-a-roos disappear!

One time I actually thought my money was stolen
