Default The Love Guru

I went and saw it today, at the matinee (which the prices have gone up for and it was $7 just for tickets!!! GAH!). Anyway, despite being surrounded by a bunch of teenagers (dammit, school let out this week), it was entertaining. The funniest parts were in the trailer, but I did laugh out loud at it. Best $7 I ever spent? Hardly.... Worst movie of the summer? Nah, I don't think so.

The reviews are pretty brutal: The Love Guru Movie Reviews, Pictures - Rotten Tomatoes

I know the reviews are brutal... I never tend to agree with reviews anyway. I enjoy potty humor, and there was a lot of it. Like I said, it's wasn't the greatest movie, but I don't regret going either.

Only $7!!! We pay $9.50!!! Anyway this doesn't seem too interesting to me. It's just silly. But yeah this kind of movie does definitely attract the teenagers.

Default Ah, another teeny-bopper flick

That's what I call the ones that mainly attract the kids, especially the adolescent males. I rarely enjoy this type of movie enough to warrant spending anything on a ticket. Eventually could rent it but it would be at the bottom of my list.

7 is what we pay for a matinee, it's 9 for full price shows.

Eh, like I said, it wasn't all that great, certainly not a blockbuster hit, but I think it lived up to expectation. Maybe my expectations of Mike Meyers is much lower than most peoples.

This just looks like another routine comedy, so I doubt I will be running out to see this anytime soon. While I doubt it's the worst film ever made, I think it is only worth a rental at best. Mike Myers is okay, but I think Waynes World and it's sequel was the best films he ever did.
