Default Hellboy II- My review

This movie was just barely more watchable than the first. I do not see why this is getting rave reviews. This movie is just plain silly while the first was serious. Why could they not find a good middle ground on that front? Without giving anything away, all of the characters make selfish decisions all the way until the very end of the film and I mean even the very last scene. And what is worse, you see the cliched scenes coming from a mile away. And the reason for the antogonists campaign is another hit with the stupid "GREEN" propoganda. ENOUGH ALREADY. We go to the movies to be entertained, not preached to.

UUUUGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

3.5/5

I was kind of worried about there being a sequel to the first Hellboy. I just didn't see room for it. The first plot was kind of forced and a letdown. I can't imagine where the second one has to go and I won't find out until it comes out on DVD unless free tickets drop in my lap.

I was really looking forward to seeing this one. It's a bummer to hear that the movie is disappointing.

EVERYBODY loves this movie except for me. So, I think everybody who reads this will be like, "What the hell was he talking about?"

I just thought the movie was too silly. And the decisions they make, uuugggghhhhh!!!! I want to go throw up now.......

The movie is nothing new and people are acting like it is the second coming.

I'm looking forward to it coming out on DVD but don't plan on going to the theaters to see it. The previews look good to me - very campy, comic book-style - but that seems to be a lot of the attraction in it. Of course, I haven't seen the first one yet but am adding it to my Blockbuster list so maybe I'll change my mind once I've seen that one.

I like both films but the first one is so serious while the second is too silly.

I'm waiting for DVD on this one. While I liked the first Hellboy (and have occasionally read the comic), I'm not exactly sure that this type of thing is completely condusive to big-screen adaptation.

I just watched this movie today. I think, if you're watching it for the special effects, why not? It'll be one of those just sit back, relax, and be amazed kind of movies.

But I agree that it does seem lacking in substance...or maybe more like everything was forced into the movie just to add a little of drama here, a little bit of romance there and a little bit of humor on the side.

Acting wasn't very spectacular and it was as unnatural as the characters. I guess they were promoting this one to be directed by the same person who did Pan's Labyrinth and that raised my expectations. I have to admit that I'm a little bit disappointed. The special effects were the only saving grace of this movie.
