X-Files- My review

I loved the series and hated the way it ended. I will still watch the movie, in DVD form, of course, because I'm a tight-wad who won't spend the money for a ticket, lol. What I want to know is- does Mulder and Sculley finally get together!? I mean, gosh, they a baby together (through strange means) and they had this chemistry going on- something needs to finalized on this!

They had a baby through normal means. They did have sex and they made that clear at the end of one of the episodes. I believe it was the finale of season 8. They embraced each other and said something along the lines of only they knew the truth of the conception. Meaning they had sex. They made it so clear for several years that she could not and Mulder was willing to donate but it never took. It did when they had sex though.

That scene during the credits was the two of them rowing in a boat to an island in the tropics. Gillian in a bikini...

As for this movie it was great...

...for a series finale. It really felt like this story was reverse engineered based on what the characters needed to wrap themselves up nicely. It that respect, I enjoyed it. The story itself...really not compelling...really not worthing writing, let alone filming.

I recently read an article where the producer said if this movie does well enough they will tie it up in 2012 for the finale. I don't see it happening after this dismal showing but I can still hope.

With the invasion coming and William being needed they could really wrap it up nicely.
