I have the book for this movie, and now its showing on the big screen. I haven't read the book yet, been meaning to but too busy.

Would you hold off or dive right in with the movie? I like seeing things at the theatre if I get the chance, rather than waiting and ending up on the smaller.

Normally when I have read the book before I end up being disappointed in how the movie turns out, so I would watch it first since it is already out and then delve into my book.

I heard the actors (Dakota Fanning, Queen Latifah & Alicia Keyes) acted very very well but the script wasn't very spectacular. I haven't seen the movie but based on what I've read in the papers, this movie got average reviews at best.

I absolutely love Queen Latifah in almost anything she does-but Dakota Fanning just drives me bonkers. I cannot stand the precocious little grunt. Arg!!!

I'm not sure how I'd balance the love and the hate. Might just read the book instead.

The movie looks real good but I'm like Cam, I just end up being disappointed with the movie. That happened with Like Water for Chocolate. It was just not the same. I doubt I can resist watching the movie anyway!

Who wrote the book? I would go for the book more times that not as movies tend to change a good many things that keep the book more interesting. I would rather imagine the story than see it right off the bat.

i did saw this movie and it was full of love in this movie. good one for kids too.
