This also counts the the shortest Bond film ever as well. It's only 106 mintues, well shorter than the 2-hours-and-change running time of most of them in the past 13 years.
This is an unusual approach for a Bond flick, and perhaps not the best idea for such an iconic franchise. I have free tickets to see it next week, so with any luck I can scare up a babysitter that night.

I agree a but with my buddy Obiwan...
I felt like it was a slide show, too. I love quick cuts in action, and thought the Bourne series did it well, but this was difficult for me to follow the layout of the action. Ultimately, this was a good wrap up to the story in the first, although the 'organization' is still just as vague as it was in the beginning of the first movie. C'mon...we all know its SPECTRE....let's just get on with it. What seperates this film from other Bond flicks is it focus' too much on Bond's revenge. He's the off-the-map agent, and that's the kind of movie it is. CASINO ROYALE was just a pitch perfect Bond film, even though it sighed a bit much at the end. This series needs to get back on track in film three. This doesn't mean its bad, I just think it misses few Bond notes. |
