Gran Torino- My Review

OK, I saw this yesterday and I don't think it was the same film critics saw. It was good but not THAT good. Eastwood's character at times was so rediculously corny that it didn't fit. The movie was too shallow and predictable.

It was a great idea but had its flaws in the execution. It was almost the exact same story as 7 pounds but told in a different fasion. I would watch 7 Pounds again before I see this film again. It just didn't have that edge that I think everyone thought it had.

I do recommend it but just barely. It will keep your attention the whole time. I will give it that. It is not a boring film by any stretch of the imagination.

Maybe the critics gave it so much hype because it is Clint Eastwood anyway. But these days, after watching on DVD several movies that critics thought were bummers, I don't think I'll be believing them for a long time.

I agree that the movie wasn't AMAZING, but I'd definitely recommend it to people. Very moving and entertaining, if a little sappy at times.

I thought it was fairly good, I saw Seven Pounds as well but liked Gran Torino more as it contained a bit of comedy and was more action packed than Seven Pounds although SP was meant to be more of a serious film..

I can't help but appreciate clint eastwood in any role he's done. even if that means standing on a porch telling some kids to get off his lawn.

During his reform process, Walt is unwillingly drawn into the life of Thaos family, and soon finds himself not only facing his own blinding prejudice head-on, but also protecting the family from the various gangs that swarm the neighborhood. I liked to download Gran Torino movie to watch it again.
