It really tee's me off when celebs are never really held responsible for their actions. Like what man?! If I were getting a DUI, I am sure there would be some more issues besides a fine to pay.

I agree its not right, but I don't blame the celebrities one little bit...
I blame the crooked law enforcement people for this problem...
These celebrities are only taking advanage of our crooked system...
As I know that most anybody would, your not going to go up there
and say "Throw the book at me judge" your going to try and get off
with as light a penalty as you can... I know myself having had a few,
ok a lot of speeding tickets... Its far cheaper to pay a high priced
lawyer than it is to pay the full ticket and added high priced insurance...
This is not right, [I have got out of speeding tickets all together on
technicalities] but its the best course of action to take...

yeah, it's not the celebs fault, but it's sick none the less. Who was it who got caught with pot like a month ago, but it "wasn't theirs", and they GOT OFF? Like that'd work if it was me.

Well yes I think this could work if it was you...
I don't know of the case that you are referring to... But I know
that sometimes people will in cases like the one you describe will
pay someone to lie and confess the ownership of said drug substance
to clear there good name... This is known as a fall guy, now I don't know
if this is the case here... But I'm just trying to show one possible solution...

If I got caught doing something wrong, I'd be doing my best to wriggle out of the situation with as little punishment as possible. If I knew that the system was star-struck enough to forget what to charge me with due to who I am, then GREAT, I'd let them know who I am. It sucks, but hey...

I attended an event once in Montreal where there was very little parking and I of course didn't arrive soon enough to park legally. While I was wondering where to park a local celebrity who I was acquainted with drove by looking for a spot for the same reason I was. Yup I parked right behind him in a no parking zone hoping that if he had a chance to get off without a ticket I might be lucky enough to get away with it too. You wouldn't have heard me complaining about celebrity privilege.
