I saw this this morning and I was saddened. My grandmother, who passed 10 years ago, was a big fan of Paul Newman, and I thought of her when I heard the news. He was a great advocate for health, I'm sorry to hear his battle with cancer ended.

 Well you know Paul has been looking pretty rough the past couple of years... We can't live forever people, at some point we need to move over and make room for the new people coming up... I don't think to many people have lived a more fulfilled life than Paul Newman... And he'll kind of live on in his movies... RIP

The greater actors of our time is slowly dissapearing. I find it increasingly harder to find new actors today that manages even half decently to carry the torch, seems like everyone born after 60-70's are rather mundande at best. Newman is legend, i have to watch Slapshot again. I need a smile after this bad news.

This is very sad. I'm sure his family and friends will miss him terribly especially, Joanne. They always seemed like the perfect soul mates. I can't imagine losing my hubby after a little over ten years of marriage. I'm sure that considering how long they were together and how close they seemed, she will be terribly heartbroken.

This is sad news indeed. But you guys are right, there hardly are any actors these days that are of his caliber.
