"Smarter Than A Fifth Grader" Winner Files For Bankruptcy

Kathy Cox won $1 million on the Fox TV Show 'Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader'. She donated all the money to charity stating that she and her husband had all they needed and she wanted to help others. Then the economy collapsed and along with her husband's successful construction business. She and her husband have now filed bankruptcy. I bet she wishes she'd at least held on to a few dollars.

Wow. When I read the title I thought it serves her right, but yikes I feel sorry for the woman. To do something so nice for others and then end up so far in the crap yourself is just shocking.

Now what kind of justice is THAT? I really feel sorry for her and it just hammers home the point to me just how fickle material things are.

I feel bad for her but I think this she will be okay, I did a very good deed and I think in time she will be justly rewarded.

Someone had some serious karma issues. I read the title thinking she blew it all and then ended up broke from that. Seems this time the karma was not nice to her at all, I would fully be kicking myself.

Oh man. I would be wishing I kept some for myself. It was a good thing that she initially did though and I hope she gets through this crisis.
