Not all parents are intelligent enough to say no to their child or explain that the movie isn't for kids, the cartoon show is. But thats their choice and we can't change it. The movie studios made th movie for little boys who never outgrew liking spider man, and other Marvel comic movies. Companies are going to make what sells, because it makes them money. Its the consumers job to buy wisely.

What so bad about Spidy ??? I don't have any little ones, so I don't watch movies with them in mind... But right off I don't remember no bunch of profanity, or hot sex scenes in the movie... So what gives, what is so wrong about kids watching the spidter ???

I remember when Shrek 3 came out, our local Coles dedicated the entire front of the store from the registers to the frozen food section to showing all sorts of Shrek-related merchandise, including Shrek branded canned soup, c'mon who would want to buy Shrek-branded soup?

Alright, I grew up with the Spider Man comics...so I really could care less about there being Spider Man lunch boxes or toys, if they are based off the movie design or not.
The old Batman film in 1989 had toys made for it, and that was PG-13 just like the Spiderman films are. If you wanna whine about this type of stuff, it is hardly a recent phenomena. I love the old comic book characters, but I hate most movies based off comics! Go figure. |

Well unless you are going to show them the movie the lunch box is made after how will they know its violent? I see your point to a degree, although I don't agree, but buying the lunch box doesn't let the kid see the movie, it takes another willful act to do that. And many countries were founded on violence, its part of our structure whether we find it in Spiderman or a history book.
