Wondering what others think about her photo to appear in the May issue of Vanity Fair, here is a link to photo if u have not seen it or heard about it.

I know she is considered a tween icon, ages 4 to 14. I am wondering what others think of this photo? Do u think her parents should of not allowed her to do this, she is only 15? Do u think teen stars are thrown into situations they have no control over? Maybe they feel they got to do things to keep up with hollywood life.
I think it is sad to see that these young people (stars) have to transform there selves into another whole league once they reach a certain age....
I think it is a lot of pressure to be young and succesful today.

She seems like pretty nomal kid to me, but I don't know... I think the pictures should
be up to her, but she don't look like anyone is twisting her arms in those pics...
She certainly was doing just fine without that photo shoot... I read in the article
that she said: "I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now,
seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed," Miley said in a statement.
"I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.",
but I see this as a publicity stunt... She was probably told to say that by her publicity advisors...
That kinda stuff sells more magazines, but I could be wrong, who knows...

Personally, I believe she thought all was innocent enough at the photo shoot. Now I believe Disney is forcing her to come out with all these statements to protect her image and their money making machine.

Not really sure what she and her parents (or agents, whoever was with her) were thinking at that photo shoot. It doesn't take much thought to figure out how a picture of her under a sheet with seemingly no clothes on could be taken in the wrong light.

I think it was all about the image she is supposed to project as a Disney teen star and the Vanity Fair picture and the other racy internet pictures are just at odds with her current image. Maybe she is going through a career change or what not. I mean, Hilary Duff eventually shed her teenie bopper image too eventually. All in all, it just seems to me that kids are in a hurry to grow up these days.

I think she is being exploited. I don't think she has much input in these kinds of decisions nad at best she expects her parents and professional handlers to do what they bthink is right in her interest. And even if she agreed to these photos, someone - her parents and/or handlers, should have thought better of the idea.

I agree with Bruce. I don't think at fifteen she really had a whole lot to do with the decisions made at the time. I think her parents and her handlers should have known better. She is being exploited by everyone and still is.
