On vacation until the 12th

Hey cats, I'll be on vacation from the 4th until the 12th. I'm packing up the brood and flying to my old stomping ground of Nova Scotia.


I'll be visiting Halifax and then doing the hellish 5-hour drive to the Northern tip of Cape Breton to a tiny town outside of Sydney.

Wish me luck.

I'll bring everyone back a McLobster.

This cat is very envious of you Stubbs... I can't remember the last vacation I
was on, unless you count weekends at the beach... I'm only 3 hours away
from some pretty nice beaches... And leave me out of your McLobster give
away... I love lobster too, but that just looks and sounds discussing... I once
had to work in the state of Maine for a year and cheap lobster was the only
redeeming quality of the entire state...

Make that another "Ewww" to the McLobster. Somehow it just doesn't feel like a natural fit for Mickey D's.

Hope you have a great time on your vacation though! Do you have any specific plans of things to do while you're away?

My specific plans are just irritating family time.

I love the family, but it's just a lot of travelling around just so everyone can see my kids again. Halifax is such a fun town that I wish I could skip all the visiting and just enjoy the city.

I will take pics of course. But my pics are generally a bit on the odd side. My 2 primary cameras are a Russian-made plastic Holga 120-format camera and a 5-dollar panoramic Vivitar.

When I get back I'll post some of my fave pics in my gallery (and here for any good scenery shots).

I'm back!

Someone let me know what's new around here. I decided instead of going through 5 pages of new posts that I'd just start fresh.

I do see one or two familiar faces among the newbies...

Most of my vacation pics were on old-timey film, but I should get a few digital pics up here soon. It'll probably be a busy weekend, so it may take some time.
