I yield often, thought not too much, to both pedestrians and other cars. Ill let people turn or change lanes when there is construction stuff and they have to.
Except today. One woman was a right awful git. She was waiting to make a left turn into Wendy's which was right where cars had to change from the right lane to the left because of construction. I had let a car merge into the lane in front of me and then moved up with traffic and this woman tried to turn in. And yelled "STUPID!" as I drove by. I had seen her trying to get in before with the car in front of me. So I had it and yelled "YOURE MAKING A LEFT IDIOT! YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR TRAFFIC!!! ASS!" I can't stand aggressive drivers like that. Don't yell at me because you're a fat impatient idiot who can't wait a minute to get her fast food fix -.- |

I yield to pedestrians in crosswalks and in places where there are none so long as they are polite. I'm not above scaring the poop out of them if they are obnoxious and not in a crosswalk though. Especially the ones crossing two yards from a crosswalk because its so hard to walk the little bit more to obey the law. I don't swear or road rage at them though. People carry hunting rifles in the trucks up here.

Binkley not if you want to survive it. I have seen some people be worse towrads those on bikes than those walking. I dont know whats wrong with people sometimes being jerks to those walking (in the proper areas), I was almost run down by some trucker when I was pushing a stroller.

Dude I used to bike to school a little over a mile across a major traffic road (traffic to the local factory that opened when school did) and even then I almost used to get killed once or twice a week. There was this one art teacher who would get behind me and crawl along however fast I was going to "protect me". She was so funny.

I am definitely a "yielder"! I will even stop when I'm turning a corner to let someone cross the street safely. I have it in my head that if I didn't do this and the person behind me plows right over them, it's gonna be my fault and I will never forgive myself. My hubby says I'm paranoid, but I just feel safer doing this. Then I can smile and say "Ok, there's my good deed for the day!" Which usually gets a response of "You really are nuts!" from my hubby.
