Default Excuse to be a scrooge?

My godson lives in London. He's my sister-in-law's son (my husband's nephew). Amazon only ships books there and I've given him books last year. Other stores will either ship for a fee or charge me in British pounds.

I have to admit, I'm looking for a reason to feel good about not giving him anything. Can I use the excuse that my daughter is her goddaughter and has never received anything from my sister-in-law? Not even a card.

Cool

If I had a Godson I think I would have a real hard time trying to as you say
"feel good about not giving him anything"...
You shouldn't unjustly penalize your Godson for issues you have with your sister-in-law...
I would just keep on sending books, presents and such, but that is just me...
I mean after all its Christmas...

He is your Godson. CopyCat's got a point.
