He ought to be able to cash in after having given everything that he has in my humble oppinion. I know i would do the same if i made a career like that, it's a nice and naive fantasy to imagine people doing their thing and not be in it for the money, but i think you reach a point where you realize that the industry is making all the money, while you do all the work.

You call George Lucas a sellout, as if it was something even close to being a recent turn of events.
Hate to break it to you, but he's been a sellout for well over a decade now, and arguably longer than that...depending on whom you ask. The new Indy Jones was still pretty good though. |

Naw, George being a sellout would be more along the lines of selling all his holdings to Disney. It could still happen, probably after he's dead but he won't be to blame, it'll be whoever has the keys at that point.
He already kinda sorta did a teeny bit. Pixar came from one of his animation holdings. |

He could still make the arrangements to prevent his holdings from ever being sold to Disney...its not too late. And I agree, he's been a sell-out for some time but its really ramping up on a large scale after a long stagnant era of the same few things being available. New toys, Clone Wars, etc. I mean Target has whole sets of dollar bin crap with Star Wars on it.
