sims 2 deluxe?

I already install my sims 2 deluxe..and when i click the icon of sims 2 deluxe, I recieve a msg saying "failed to find any direct x 9.0 compatible graphics in this system please make sure you have compatible graphics adpter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manuacturer the program will no terminate"

I looked my system and i saw that i have my direct x 9.0 installed already....why cant i still play the game???
I already re installed it nothing happends...and i have the latest ver of direct x..

Try calling EA Games customers service

Or

Borrow A friends Cd and install it .
I tried this and it worked
