Default PSP Review: The NEO GEO has arrived...

Ok, here we go. This is one title that all old school gamers should own.

I remember when the NEO GEO was released back in the late 80's. I remember the system being $500 and the games being $200 a piece. Now we have a compilation that back in the 80's would have been worth $3200. There are 16 games on this disc and should please just about anyone.

About half the games are fighting games and SNK delivered some of the best games ever in this catagory. For those that don't care about fighting games, like myself, we get some great games outside that catagory. These include Baseball Stars 2, Magician Lord, the classic Metal Slug, and several others that are great but not as well known. Such as Shock Troopers(the best game on the disc in my opinion), and Last Resort a simple but very satisfying foray into golf.

This is yet anothetr title worthy of purchasing the PSP for. These games are incredible and perfect in their recreation. They are flawless and look incredible. They play that way too.

Here's hoping we won't have to wait long for Vol. 2.

My son asked for this one recently. Sounds like I may have to get it for him just for me to relive my teen years and play it with him. Used to be pretty good at video games back in the day but some of the games he gets into are just too far out there for me now.

I don't get it. Is the Neo Geo a game or a system?

The NEO GEO was a sytem that came out around '87 I believe. The games are still in some arcades. They are housed in a box that usually contains 4 games. 1 always seems to be baseball stars 2. When the home console was released, at the same time, it was the first time in history where you could actually play the exact game from the arcade at home. Hence the hefty price tag.

The SNK(NEO GEO) games are fantastic.
