I pretty much stopped getting old games of the VC because if your system dies you cannot redownload your games if you get a new one. You buy them for that Wii and when it dies and you get a new Wii you are screwed. I confirmed this with Nintendo. That sucks. I'd rathher use old ROMS that possibly lose money when my sytem fails. And they all will at some point.

That blows. And really...how often should a console die. I mean really. I still have tech bought nearly twenty years ago that works.
The newer stuff just isn't lasting. But for the Virtual Console, I have to agree. I certainly like it. I'm finally working my way through the second quest of THE LEGEND OF ZELDA. Wahoo... |

Anything that has a drive on it has a high risk for failure. Especially on start up. The Wii will fail. It is only a matter of time. Same goes for any game system out there. And they definately don't build them the way they used to.
