I'm not sure so i looked it up on wikipedia... and that didn't help
but I'm sure the Beeb wouldn't sell it to you if it wasn't good enough quality i would of thought nowadays with digital i would of thought they would pick up more then 25fps so they could have a 30fps version... of course i have no idea what im talking about =P

I have no idea of what you speak either, or why they would have a lower frame rate....the more frames the better, right?
Either way, I doubt the BBC would be selling shoddy goods to the people here in America. I know PBS has some Brit shows on as well, so perhaps you could find them through that as well? Not sure what the frame rate on those is but it could be the same as other US shows. |

Ok the issue is that in the UK TV is recorded at the same rate of frames per minute at movies-60 frames. US TV is recorded and broadcast at 50. So it has to be converted to show correctly over here. That's why the picture looks a little different.
I got my first DVD box set and it was just perfect, way better than broadcast. |
