Default Do you buy pirated movies?

In our country, piracy seems a normal thing; you can buy a copy of the new movie wherever you go, whether you’re on the market or on the mall. One time a salesman knock at our door and sells us a pirated copy. My mother was glad that she won’t go to a market just to buy one, so sad to say that she buy one for her own.

How odd to have pirated movies so available for sale. I thought for the most part, people mostly downloaded illegal torrents etc. What service to have someone coming to your door! heh

Unhappy

I once downloaded and watch the "Fast and Furious" movie from a online buddy at a filesharing site before it even hit the theater... Took a long time to download and took up a lot of hard drive space... But I watched it and then dumped it... But after the initial glee of accomplishing this act, I felt kinda bad about it...
So I've never tried to do it sense...

I think that it is totally wrong to so this. Think of all the people who are being ripped off when you do this. The actors, the producers, the advertising companies, lots and lots of people. What did they ever do to you?

I think it is wrong as well, any money the movie makes from people buying the DVDs is part of the money people get paid for making the movie. I don't buy pirated DVDs but these days it is harder to tell what is pirated and what isn't due to "pirates" making the cover look official.

You are right, people making pirated movies are getting clever this days placing the original cover to the DVD. But in order for us to buy original DVD's let us buy them only on registered stores that sells original movies.

I totally understand and agree with 'think of the people it's hurting'... but there's the other side of the coin.. think of all those vhs movies that became obsolete when dvd technology took over - i certainly don't see the movie companies offering to sustain from double profiting when we were left with little choice but to buy the same movies for a second time...

I'm not saying piracy is right... I"m just saying...

Default Piracy Problem

Pirated DVD affects the movie industry, but most people can’t afford or don’t want to buy a real one because of the price. I think that its not fair to patronized these pirated ones, we can’t blame the people because buying one saves them a lot of money compared to a real one.

I myself am guilty of downloading some films and watch them like it's normal.. but i never bought an illegal one.. nor have i sold any!
It' not because i don't think it's right (i know it's very wrong) but it's because it makes me mad. I can download it illegal myself, i don't have to give money to some dude and make him a few dollars richer..
So.. no, i didn't and i will never buy illegal dvd's :D
