Default Ratatouille

How did this movie ever get rated a G? It seemed to me that it needed at least a PG, between the language and religious references. It made me a little sad given how good some of the other Pixar films were.

Default What did you mean?

PG?
Why would you want to rate a cartoon as Parental Guidance? The movie is just the story of the mouse who cooks for the human. I think that the languages they are using in this film are just common on most cartoons.

I didn't see anything wrong with it. I just thought the movie was overrated...it wasn't as great as I expected.

My thoughts exactly It was kind of overrated. It was cute but not as good as it was praised. Maybe i think that because i expected too much from it, everyone was praising the movie and i thought it was going to be a masterpiece..
Anyway, it was ok. I enjoyed it but i don't recall seeing parts that would have to be PG rated..

I think that there are different jokes and statments for different ages. The G rating was because children process things different than adults. I thought that G was a fine rating for this movie.

I think it was rated correctly. I didn't hear or see anything that would make it PG. It was great and the kids really enjoyed it. In fact, they bought the DVD when it came out.

I have seen it for few minutes (didn't watch it entirely), but it seemed pretty Ok to me too. It was nice and relaxing and I haven't noticed any "strong" language. I really have to see it entirely and maybe something new will show up for me.

There are some adult themes if you understand what adult themes are. However a kid doesn't understand that sort of thing, and the G rating was just fine, as my 5yr old niece didn't think it was "icky" which is her blanket term for gross lovey dovey stuff.

I thought it was overhyped as well. It was cute, and my husband liked it, but I was rather let down.

It was actually the language that I found most surprising. I realise that this might be a personal thing, but there were things in there that at the time I just thought were entirely inappropriate for a three or four year old. Things that I wouldn't want my child repeating.

I know that everyone parents differently, and it's each to their own.

Have you ever gone back as an adult and watched movies that your parents let you see as a kid? You'll find that there are one or two adult references or jokes, simply because you have to entertain the parents/guardians that have taken the kids to see the movie too.
