DVD broke Blu Ray DVD player?

We rented "Roman Holiday" (regular DVD) from the local video store and it stopped in the middle of the movie. Went to black. Now the DVD won't come out. The player keeps saying loading. We've tried unplugging it. We can't get the thing to spit the DVD out. What happened?

We have a Samsung.

It wasn't the DVD, your player has malfunctioned. You need to take it in, cost should be around $125.00.

unplug the DVD player from the ac outlet it is plugged into and wait about 5 minutes that should reset it, then plug it back in a see if you can open it to get the DVD out, the problem is NOT the DVD but they player may be time to get a new one

RMEMBER DO NOT JUST SHUT IT OFF, UNPLUG IT ALL TOGETHER

Have you tried calling the customer service number for Samsung? If its a known problem they may have a good fix for it. Otherwise taking it for fixing at the electronics store you bought it from is your best bet it sounds like.

Getting a dvd player fixed is just a waste of money i think... tear it apart and rescue the dvd, then run down to best buy and get a brand new one for cheap.
