Default What kind of DVDs do you collect?

We try to grab any Disney flicks when we can find them. I'm trying to get a collection of the older classics that I enjoyed when I was a child before they disappear forever. A friend of mine is collecting westerns on DVD, especially John Wayne, but any she can find. What about you?

I guess my main thing has been trying to collect every single Sherlock Holmes film and TV show on DVD, and I sadly still have a long way to go in that regard

Some of these DVD's are far from cheap, and some even look to be out of print or something of that like.

Hopefully someday I will have every Sherlock Holmes related thing in existence, but until that day...

Right now I am collecting old kids TV shows. I am so unimpressed with recent offerings on the whole, that I long for what I watched instead for my daughter. Plus I get a giggle out of seeing them again.

I collect movies for children, mystery movies like Sherlock holmes, Murder She Wrote and the newer types like CSI, Law and Order. That kind of thing.

Ricky...I totally agree with you, I am watching a cartoon and I am thinking what on earth is the producer thinking as an adult.

My collection runs from collections of turn-of-the-century silent short subjects to indie films to foreign classics to schlocky exploitation to ZOMBIES!!! to all the crap that everyone loves to horribly inept B-movies to poorly-dubbed Kung Fu to Bollywood to bootlegged concerts to pirated unreleased material to Showgirls. The V.I.P. box set, no less.

My interest knows no boundaries.

Hmm... I would never think of myself trying to collect any particular niche of movies, especially since my taste is so hit or miss... however, i will say that as of lately, I am developing a bigger interest in the indie films. I particularly liked the movie, "Once" (something deep inside of me just signals that I should really not have liked that movie.. yet... i loved it for some unknown reason). I think watching all the trailers since getting involved with this site is a big part of the reason for that actually... there's a lot of clips I more than likely would have never given the time of day to had i not been "forced" to watch them.

I don't collect anything in particular. I buy movies I want to watch again and again (hence why I haven't been buying much of late)
