I watched "Charlie Wilson's War" last night... I really didn't think I would like it... Its just not my kinda movie... But wow, the acting skills of Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, and Philip Hoffman really brought this true story to life... I had never even noticed Philip Hoffman before this movie... Sure I had seen him play in other movies, but had never thought much about him... Well I'm here to tell you what, he sure was shining like a star in this film... I think we'll be seeing a lot more of him after the outstanding job he did with this film... In short the story is about one congressman who loved a good time, one Houston socialite who loved a good cause and one CIA agent who loved a good fight conspiring to bring about the largest covert operation in history... I know it sounds boring, but its not... I highly recommend this movie, it was the best I've seen in a while...
Heres a preview below...
^^ I've seen a few movies with Hoffman and he's been excellent in every single one. The last one i saw of him was "Before the devils knows you're dead", really good movie and solid acting all around.
