Golden Compass Worth Buying?

There was a $5 of coupon in the Sunday Parade two weeks ago for the Golden Compass DVD. My brain immediately goes: $15-5=10 which isn't much more than renting it twice. but we didn't see it in the theater to decide if we'd watch it over and over again (although the religious outrage makes us think maybe it would).
