Default Looking for a cuddle up movie!
Going to get a chance to be alone with my significant other on the weekend a couple weeks from now. Shipping the gang off to their Grandparents. We need a cuddle up movie. At least one. Please could everyone suggest their favorites and tell me why it was so good. I want to pick up a couple good ones at Blockbuster or somewhere.

Happy Feet is cute and cuddle up. And because its animated there are no gratuitous sex scenes.

I also adore Sweet Home Alabama and Center Stage as they are sweet and eventually they get the girl in the end.

I wouldn't necessarily pick a romance movie for this one. I would probably go for a bit of a thriller or suspense or horror movie where you snuggle up to him for "safety" and peep through your fingers. For a really scary one, I recommend House on Haunted Hill if none of you have seen it yet. Or something like 28 Weeks Later or AVP Requiem. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed There Will Be Blood together. More of a drama but it was one of those movies that was neither a chick flick or a manly man movie. Enjoy your weekend!

Well what does she like? Happy Feet vs. House on Haunted Hill are two completely different kinds of "cuddle up" movies, so either could be a big hit....or flop. Whatever you do, do 'not' pick up a chick flick that involves bashing men or a man who makes men in general look bad. There are some good cuddly chick flicks out there, but even if she loves you dearly, you don't want her secretly bashing men throughout the movie, lol.

The Katie Holmes and Queen Latifah comedy Mad Money comes out on DVD today with director's commentary and a behind-the-scenes featurette. Looks like it should be pretty funny! You can find clips and more info about the DVD here:

because it has Queen Latifah in it... I find her about as revolting as I do Rosie O'Donnell... I mean what is it
with the QUEEN name ??? Does she think that she is the descendant of some African royalty or something ???
I just don't like it when African American people force their so called "heritage" upon the rest of us...
And I really don't like her "I'm set apart (above) by having an extra cool hip down with it head bobbing
sassy I know what's in between the lines and you don't attitude"... She looks like a female Muhammad Ali anyway...

this makes me sad. i think queen latifah is great. i don't think she's trying to force her heritage on to anyon, queen latifah was just her rap name and she is well known for it so she kept using it as her acting name too. i mean dana owens isn't as catching as queen latifah, you know? the only thing i have against her is that she's the new spokesperson for jenny craig, and i used to work there and hate that place, so it makes me sad to see her working for them now.

I find that last line in your comment a little unusual...
Do you only have friends that have the same exact likes and dislikes as you do ???
If so, that must really narrow down your circle of friends... And as for Queen Latifah just using her rap name...
What is that got to do with anything, it is still the name she chose... And as for it being a more catchy name
than Dana Owens... I think Dana Owens is a nice name, a normal sounding name like most actors use...
Where as when I hear Queen Latifah, I envision a ink black tribal women wearing animal skins
with a bone threw her nose... Sorry girl, I just don't like her...
