Thumbs up

*Who's your monkey*

This movie stared Jason London and I really didn't expect much out of it...
But to my suprise it turned out to be a pretty funny movie...
It has no big name stars, a low budget and zero special effects,
but I still liked it... I guess I could relate it to some of the antics
of me and my budds and the things we do...

I really enjoyed this film as well.. a lot of guys I know hated it claiming it "wasn't a real western" - whatever that means... but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Diary of the dead was the last one i saw, i was kind of prepared what to expect (mediocraty). I had a feeling that a movie centered around some guy with a handheld cam would be more or less like the Blairwitch. The movie was far from my liking in this genre, but i would still give it a 5.5/10. Some classic romero moments and walking zombies as opposed to the more recent running ones were a major plus. The remake of
Dawn of the dead is the most worthy recent one made just give a preference to my liking of zombie movies.

I have The orphanage and a japanese movie called Machine girl that is next in line to be watched. I'm just off now to watch the latter one first.

Stubblecat: Unless you haven't seen Pans labyrinth yet, i strongly recommend it.

Oh, I'm totally down with the Pan. Got it on Blu-Ray and everything. Film's a masterpiece.

I just watched "The girl next door" that we rented over the weekend and it was pretty crazy to imagine all of this stuff happened so long ago.......myself and other kept going " is wrong with these people" and " is wrong with these kids not telling their parents".

This is not a movie for children!

It is based on the true story of Sylvia Marie Likens

Just finished watching the latest Rambo installment. I must say I really liked it a lot. With the exception of the first Rambo (for sentimental reasons really) it was probably my favorite one.

One of, if not the best movie that came out that year. Looks like Benicio is going to direct the upcoming Hobbit movies as well, something to look forward to. He has the right take on how fantasy is supposed to be.

THE AIR I BREATHE

Pretty darn good little film. Quite rougher than I had anticipated, and I was hoping for more emotional salience like CRASH, but it was still pretty darn good.

The last one I watched was last night. It was "Yours Mine and Ours". I found it hilarious even though I have seen and read the basic plot many times before.

OLDBOY

It was a blind buy as I'd heard so many things about it all over the place. I picked up the 2 disc edition in Gatwick Aipport for £4! Loved the film. Sounded great in DTS-ES..
