Superman - The Movie (1978)

Beautiful! However, if you buy it as one of your very first Blu-Ray discs, you may be confused about the picture.
While the colors are vivid, the picutre seems a little 'soft', and that was how Richard Donner made the film. It almost has a dreamy quality to it.

That being said, you can now drink in all sorts of little details that you may have missed the first time. My favourite is that you can see that among all of Lex Luthor's new mapped-out Californian cities are a pair of large mountains called "Tessmacher Peaks".

The last movie I watched was Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut.

Very odd indeed...

I liked a great bit of the Donner cut, but I'm truly satisfied with the hybrid fanedit which mixes the best Donner footage with the best Lester stuff as well. Let's face it: The 'rehearsal footage' scene just doesn't fit. And the 'Turn the world around' ending is just sort of a re-hash of the original film.

Agreed. I have never been a fan of the Donner ending.

It's agreed then! Yeah, the 'memory kiss' scene with Lois in tears is a modern classic ending.

Next, starred by Nicholas Cage-- Cris, a las vegas magician(Nicholas Cage) who has the power to see 2 minutes into the future. A very nice movie. i like it very much.

I just finished watching the movie, Category 7. I couldn't believe that I actually found a disaster film that I had not watched. It had a good story line and special effects for a disaster film. They are usually all special effects and not much story.

Not a huge Cage fan myself, but did recently see this movie and actually found myself rather enjoying it!
